Meet the Crew
CAPTAIN DAVE

Captain Dave has over 25 years of boating experience both coastal and on inland lakes. He is rated as a U.S. Coast Guard Master Captain [Near Coastal] with towing endorcement for vessels up to 100 tons. He is a member of the Charter Boat Captains Association and C-Port which is a Towing Association. Cap'n Dave is a retired member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and carries Coast Guard qualifications in Operations, Search and Rescue, Towing, Communications, and Patrols. The Captains experience is above reproach and always maintains safety for his passangers as his number one concern. The Cap'n enjoys hosting people on his vessels and like to be sure that they have a good and memorable time.

Captain Laura has 20 years of on the water operations. Like Captain Dave, she is qualified as a Master Captain [near coastal] with towing endorecement. Reciently retired from the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary she too was qualified as a Coxwain, and Search and Rescue, Patrols, Communicaitons and weather specialities. Cap'n Laura is the operations manager for Cap'n Dave's Marine Services and oversees the charter boat side and manages the office. She enjoys meeting and interacting with our customers and ensures that they are well taken care of and all their concerns are met.

Captain John is one of our latest captains to come on board. In addition to having spent a great deal of his life on the water logging many hundreds of hours on numerous vessels, Captain John has also worked as a life guard, and still enjoys scuba diving. This summer he sat for his USCG Captain’s exam in July 2008 receiving his license a month later. John is one of our weekend captains and takes pride in providing on the water assistance to stranded boaters. John actually most enjoys night time support to disabled boaters. John also maintains the electrical, communications and mechanical systems on both our tow boat and charter vessels. In addition to his boating knowledge he graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Dallas with a degree in physics and has many years of engineering experience that has proved invaluable during rescue and salvage operations. Captain John remains focused on his commitment to helping others enjoy their time on the water, fully believing in the motto of our tower, "To serve, to strive, to seek and not to yield"

Captain Clark has several years of boating both inland and off shore in Texas. Clark enjoys boating and fishing off shore along the Texas coastline. Clark has recently obtained his USCG Master Captains License with Towing endorsement. Clark is on duty during the weekends and also Captains the Cruise boats when necessary. Clark is a tireless fisherman and knows every inch of Lake Whitney both underwater and above water! Captain Clark and his wife Peggy also maintain a weekend lake house and enjoy their time at the lake. During the week Captain Clark works for Oncor Electrical as a field supervisor for their line crews. He is expecting to retire to the lake within the next few years.

Captain Scott is also a recent addition to the Lake Whitney Tow crew. Captain Scott is also a U.S. Coast Guard Captain holding a “6 Pack“ license with a towing endorsement. Captain Scott is a practicing Fishing Guide on Lake Whitney when not at his real job as a field supervisor at WB Ranch in Whitney. Scott is an avid hunter and fisherman and has been in the area for several years. Captain Scott is our back up Captain during the week and helps during the weekends.

First Mate Dave, is Cap'n Daves son and helps out the Captains by crewing on their Charters and runs the tow boat. David has a good 10 years on the water and is an expert on Lake Whitney. He is the one that keeps the vessels clean and in good operational order. He's there with you to point out interesting things on the lake and to be sure you have all your needs are met during you charter.

Ms Theresa is the one when it comes to entertainment. She is a wonderful hostess and coordinates the charters to be sure the proper drinks and foods are on board. She is usually on board and ensures ALL have fun and enjoy their cruise. She is one of our bikini gals for the adults only cruises

Amelia is a local resident of Whitney and is attending college. She enjoys the water and water sports. Amelia is a great gal and makes sure that our customers are will taken care of.

Amy is a 20 year old local Whitney girl that loves the water and sun. A recent graduate from Whitney High School, she is attending college at Hill County Junior College to become paramedic. She has an outstanding personality and makes sure all her passengers are taken care of. Look for Amy as a regular on our cruises. She is also backup help in the office and assists with schedules.

Kimberly is 21 year old native Texan living in Hillsboro that enjoys being outside & on the lake. She especially likes water sports, skiing and hanging out with her friends on the lake. Kim is very knowledgeable of the lake areas and knows where the good spots are. She graduated from Hill County College and will be attending TCU to obtain a degree in Respiratory Health. She is quite the entertainer and makes sure the customers are well taken care of.

Tom has been diving for over 20 years and have seen many changes in the commercial and sport diving industry. He has worked on salvage operations ranging from barge recovery's, bridge sections and all types and sizes of boats in both salt and fresh water . Tom started his diving career while in the military and truly love both the commercial and sport diving business. Tom stresses safety in every operation whether it's a small vessel in shallow water or something much more complex. He is PADI dive master and NAUI scuba instructor. He also specializes in teaching Advanced Diving and Advanced Rescue Dive classes. Tom always strives to improve his diving skills and techniques on each and every operation. He believes that striving for constant mprovement in yourself makes for a more effective and safer diver whether it's in commercial or sport diving.
